Norwegian - How much luggage is included?

Luggage rules are different for each type of flight. Below you can read what is included on Norwegian flights and what you can book for an extra charge.

Norwegian luggage rules (for travellers aged two and over)

You can add checked baggage for a fee during booking. After booking, this is only possible via Norwegian, also if you want to add extra kilos. Norwegian determines the price, which may change due to supply and demand. Therefore, you will always see the current price during booking or in the Norwegian self-service. It is not possible to reduce the number of kilos booked or cancel checked baggage free of charge.

Important information

• If your checked baggage exceeds the weight limit, extra charges apply at the airport.
• Are you bringing hand luggage and cabin baggage? Together, they may weigh a maximum of 10 kg.

 Ski carriage

If you want to add ski or snowboard carriage, you can add this via the website of Norwegian. The costs are approximately 40-45 € (online) 50 € (airport) per person per flight. Please note that your ski carriage can have a maximum weight of 23kg.

Have you booked a transfer via Sunweb? If you are bringing winter sports equipment, please select “Ski transfer including ski luggage” during the booking steps or in My Sunweb, so that the transfer company is informed that you are bringing winter sports equipment. You can make this adjustment up to 7 days before departure via My Sunweb.

Winter sports equipment is defined as:

• 1 pair of skis, 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of poles, ski helmet, or
• 1 snowboard with 1 pair of boots, ski helmet

Luggage rules for babies and children

Baby (up to and including 1 year)

• 5 kg of checked baggage included (packed in your bag, or their own separate bag)
• No checked baggage included
• One car seat and/or one stroller included as checked baggage. Depending on the flight, the buggy may be returned at the aircraft door or via the baggage belt. Please ask the cabin crew for details
• Babies do not have their own seat by default and travel on the lap of one of the parents

Children (from 2 years)

• Follow the standard baggage rules as stated above
