Vueling - How much luggage is included?

Luggage rules are different for each type of flight. Below you can read what is included on Vueling flights and what you can book for an extra charge.


Vueling luggage rules (for travellers aged two and over)

Hand luggage

 1 piece of max. 40x30x20cm. This piece must fit under the seat in front of you.

Cabin luggage

Max. size 55x40x20cm (including handles and wheels) and max. weight 10kg, for example a small trolley. This is placed in the overhead lockers above the seats.

Not included. Can be booked for an extra charge directly after booking via Vueling.

Checked luggage

Checked luggage for the hold. 

Max. 158cm (height+width+length).

25kg included per person. You can change or add more luggage via Vueling.


Not included, can be added for an additional fee during the booking process. After booking, it can only be added or increased via Vueling.
Reducing the booked weight or cancelling free of charge is not possible.



Important information

  • If your checked baggage exceeds the weight limit, extra charges apply at the airport.


 Ski carriage

If you want to add ski or snowboard carriage, you can add this via the website of Vueling. The costs are approximately £45 per person per flight. Please note that your ski carriage can have a maximum weight of 20kg.


Have you booked a transfer via Sunweb? If you are bringing winter sports equipment, please select Ski transfer including ski luggage during the booking steps or in My Sunweb, so that the transfer company is informed that you are bringing winter sports equipment. You can make this adjustment up to 7 days before departure via My Sunweb.

Winter sports equipment is defined as:

  • 1 pair of skis, 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of poles, ski helmet, or

  • 1 snowboard with 1 pair of boots, ski helmet


Luggage rules for babies and children

Baby (up to and including 1 year)

  • 10 kg cabin baggage included

  • In addition to cabin baggage, an extra bag of up to 5 kg may be taken for baby items

  • No checked baggage included

  • Two items can be taken free of charge, such as: a foldable buggy, stroller or car seat (maxi-cosi). Depending on the flight, the buggy may be returned at the aircraft door or via the baggage belt. Please ask the cabin crew for details

  • Babies do not have their own seat by default and travel on the lap of one of the parents

Children (from 2 years)

  • Follow the standard baggage rules as stated above
